If I was a millionaire…

I would be purchasing an iPhone today. These things are going to fly off the shelves faster than mom’s home made jam (it’s dam good jam). Let’s hope they don’t have to go through like generations of these things like the iPod before you get a half decent product - I’m sure they learned their lesson with the battery issues.

There are huge line ups everywhere for these dam things. Probably the best part about this is watching people waiting in line while listening to their iPods and talking on their cell phones; I mean basically that’s what they are getting with the iPhone, only in one unit.

People always have to have the best of the best I guess.

If I was a millionaire…

I would make it so no one cared about Paris Hilton ever again. This has gotten ridiculous. Paris Hilton was only in prison for roughly three weeks, yet she is on Larry King Live describing what it’s like to be in prison? Sure she might have a rough idea of what it is like to be in prison but try talking to someone who has been in there for something like 20 years!

Then you might get a real picture of what it’s like to be in prison…

If I was a millionaire…

I would stop this from happening. No doubt the world will be completely digital, the scary part for me is that eventually everyone would rather be living in a virtual world rather than their actual lives.

Has anyone ever seen the movie “The Lawn Mower Man“? It is basically the same idea only it’s a movie from the 90’s so the graphics are a little subjective. The point is we are moving in this direction and it’s scary. I wouldn’t be surprised if in 20, heck 10 years from now we had the technology for this. Selling memories to each other for one another to experience.

The problem that I see with that is, what happens in 50 years from now when people don’t have any memories but someone elses, they won’t be able to trade for an original memory because they will be completely based upon other peoples memories… you see what I mean, confusing and scary stuff.

Even if we have this technology before I die, which I’m sure we will as I’m only 24, I don’t think I would participate in something like this. If I want to take a vacation I’m going to physically go there, I’m not going to live someone else’s memory of their vacation. Unless of course this person’s wife was smoking hot… kidding!

Nintendo Wii Sued By Lonestar for Capacitor Design (Images)

Nintendo is being sued by a Texas-based company called Lonestar Inventions for apparently copying one of their patented capacitor designs and using it in the Wii.

The lawsuit is a little shady due to the fact that Lonestar didn’t even contact Nintendo before filing the case, nor has it told Nintendo which capacitor is in question of the patent holder’s rights.

Another interesting point is the fact that Lonestar has sued other companies in the same fashion in the past; Kodak and Freescale just to name a couple.

Not to mention that Lonestar’s offices are located in an Austin law firm, hmm…

Forbes Magazine just released their Celebrity 100 list with the world’s most powerful celebs. They’ve added up annual salaries, web rank, PR rank and TV rank.

Last year Oprah Winfrey earned $260 million for the year! Prisoner Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears didn’t even make the list.

Angelina Jolie at the Premiere of “A Might Heart” (Images)

Angelina Jolie was at the premiere of “A Might Heart” last night in support of her new film. Jolie plays journalist Mariane Pearl, the widow of Wall Street Journal reporter, Daniel Pearl. In the film her husband is kidnapped just after 9/11 when he is going to report on one last story.

The film supports an organization called “reporters without borders”; which seems a little hypocritical for Jolie after what she had her lawyer make all reporters sign before interviewing her.

Angelina Jolie had her attorney make all reporters sign an agreement stating that they will not ask her any personal questions during interviews. Every reporter that wanted to speak with Jolie had to sign this before speaking to her on the red carpet. She also banned Fox News from asking her any questions!

Fox News had this to say:

Reporters were asked to agree to “not ask Ms. Jolie any questions regarding her personal relationships. In the event Interviewer does ask Ms. Jolie any questions regarding her personal relationships, Ms. Jolie will have the right to immediately terminate the interview and leave.”

The agreement also required that “the interview may only be used to promote the Picture. In no event may Interviewer or Media Outlet be entitled to run all or any portion of the interview in connection with any other story. … The interview will not be used in a manner that is disparaging, demeaning, or derogatory to Ms. Jolie.”

If that wasn’t enough, Jolie also requires that if any of these things happen, “the tape of the interview will not be released to Interviewer.” Such a violation, the signatory thus agrees, would “cause Jolie irreparable harm” and make it possible for her to sue the interviewer and seek a restraining order.

I am told that USA Today and the Associated Press were among those that canceled interviews, and eventually Jolie scotched all print interviews when she heard the reaction.

“I wouldn’t sign it,” a reporter for a major outlet said. “Who does she think she is?”

I can understand how Jolie does not want to be asked any personal questions and just wants to promote the movie but this does make her look like quite the hypocrite when she is promoting a movie that is all about freedom of speech for reports.

I would buy this television network and show them how to run a station! (Although this was a funny mistake)

NBC’s Today Show had quite the slip up a few days ago. During some highlights of up coming stories it seems that while the narrator was talking about terrorists at JFK airport, pictures of Paris Hilton being taken to prison were being shown.

Here is a pretty funny video from WWDC 2007 using Justin Long and the other guy that plays PC on the commercials. PC claims to be Steven Jobs and talks about Apple shutting down due to Windows Vista massive sales.

It’s quite entertaining actually.

If I was a millionaire…

I would pay for this young girl’s first album. Her name is Connie and she is six-years-old. She recently made it to the next round in Britain’s Got Talent, and there is no question why.

Now I consider myself to be a strong person emotional, and I seriously almost cried when I watched this, and I don’t even like reality television, but this young lady has an amazing voice.

And remember she did that acapella!

If I was a millionaire…

I would make it illegal to say the name “Paris Hilton“. I’m so sick of hearing that name that I wish I was deaf whenever I hear it.

This video however still makes me laugh. Not because of the Paris look-a-like parading around, nor the fact that they took one of Hilton’s songs and cleverly changed the lyrics; but the fact that someone actually took the time and effort to create such a thing.

Who are these people?

Maybe it’s to try and grab some media attention and get their name out there for some reason. Possibly to try and gain some traction their website. Whatever the reason, I just can’t believe that people can actually go to this extend and make something like this.

But, what the hell, it is pretty funny!

I would buy one of these Gay Bombs so I could drop it on David Hasselhoff, not that he needs it but just so everyone will know that he is 100% gay!

This is not a joke at all; The Pentagon has confirmed that it actually was proposed in 1994, but quickly dismissed, for $7.5 million to research a non-lethal weapon called the “Gay Bomb”.

Edward Hammond of the Sunshine Project said, “The Ohio Air Force lab proposed that a bomb be developed that contained a chemical that would cause enemy soldiers to become gay, and to have their units break down because all their soldiers became irresistibly attractive to one another. The notion was that a chemical that would probably be pleasant in the human body in low quantities could be identified, and by virtue of either breathing or having their skin exposed to this chemical, the notion was that soldiers would become gay.”

This is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard of!

TaxiTech to install eTaxi systems in all New York cabs (Images)

If I was a millionaire…

I would have bought stocks in TaxiTech a few years ago and made a fortune. It appears that TaxiTech’s eTaxi systems will be put in all 13,000 New York cabs by the end of October.

TaxiTech has teamed up with hardware partners Apriva, Ingenico, and Grey Island Systems to offer the sleek looking 15-inch interactive touch screen system. Passengers are now able to entertain themselves during the ride with movie trailers, check out the menus at local restaurants or make sure the driver is not taking them the long route by following the ride on the GPS maps.

When these systems were installed in Philadelphia, taxi drivers went on strike. However, the systems were installed anyways. Almost all the drivers in New York do not want the systems installed either because they feel it’s an invasion of privacy.

The mandate requiring the systems to be installed by October has already been passed so there is not much point in New York’s cab drivers striking now.

Who ever bought stocks in this company was smart!

Spears was caught with her skirt up when she was roaming around her SUV lastnight. Not only that but she was also caught with a classic nip slip. Now she can join the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barton.

I would give Paris Hilton a quatrer for the phone.

Paris Hilton called Barbara Walters collect from prison yesterday to put some of the recent rumors around her to rest.

Paris told Barbara that she will be getting released in 14 days on June 25. She also explained that she isn’t on anti-depressants and never has been.

However, she did say that she is on a spiritual high since she has had a “spiritual awakening” after spending some time in the slammer.

On a breakthough she confirmed that when she gets out she is going to be a new person and that she will never drink and drive again! I should hope not!

Paris said, “I used to act dumb, it was an act and that act is no longer cute. I do not want to be that person for the young girls that looked up to me. I am 26 and it’s a different time. God has given me this new chance.“

She also said that her spiritual advisor told her, “My spirit or soul did not like the way I was being seen and that’s why I was sent to jail. God has released me.“

She said that when she is released from jail she wants to use her power and name to help with charities.

Whoopi Goldberg to replace Rosie O’Donnell on “The View” (Images)

I would buy a couple tickets to see Whoopi Goldberg live on “The View”. Souces claim that it’s 99% confirmed that Whoopi Goldberg will be replacing Rosie O’Donnell on “The View”.

Goldberg already lives in New York and has guest hosted multiple times already. Apparently she beat out Roseanne Barr, Kathy Griffin, Gayle King and Rikki Lake.

A network source say that they were very close to picking Kathy, but Whoopi seemed a better fit.

Steven Jobs’ Mercedes on Google Maps Street View (Images)

While checking out a site that I have been looking at a lot lately I came across something so ridiculous that I can’t believe I’m even taking the time on a Sunday night when The Simpson’s are on to write this.

It seems that the picture above is apparently Steven Jobs‘ Mercedes. First off, we can’t be sure that it’s his Mercedes in the first place, and second, who cares if it is his!

I have to admit I have been on this site where there are a lot of funny Street View pictures quite a bit but this one just made me laugh how dumb it was. The other ones on the site are pretty hilarious however.

P.S. Don’t forget the Jobs will be speaking at the WWDC tomorrow morning!

Emo Google, Search while you cry and make this guy money (Images)

This probably has to be one of the worst, and best, ideas ever fathomed. The site is called “emogoogle” and it’s a place where these sad kids can search for everything from screamo bands to black eyeliner. The problem here is, they don’t realize that basically every time they search for something they are making the sites developer money.

You see, what the viewer of the site doesn’t realize is that this is not a search engine. Well, let me correct myself, it is, but you will not see anything different, as search results are concerned, to the regular Google search.

However, there is a HUGE difference between the two in that whenever you search and click on one of Google’s ads in the search results, the site’s developer makes money.

Since the developer is the one getting these people to search, Google pays him a cut. Now this is not illegal or bad, as you can see I have Google Ads on my site as well to help subsidise my hosting expenses. I just want everyone to be aware the search results on “emogoogle” will not be anything different than regular.

But… you do get to stare at some skulls while entering in your search term! Yah!

Again, I’m not knocking this person, I think it is a really smart idea, but these kids need to be aware of what’s going on here. I think that on a site like mine, it’s common knowledge that if you click on one of the Google Ads on the side that I make a couple cents toward running my site.

This emogoogle just seems deceving in my opinion, but who am I to say…

I would buy Paris Hilton a much smaller shittier house. Possibly an exact replica of a prison cell.

Hilton was recently sentenced to 45 days in jail, which we are now all aware only turned into about 3 days. This was of course after she was caught for boozin’ and cruisin’.

Since she was released from prison early she is now ordered to remain at home and wear an ankle bracelet. Oh no! That’s terrible. You mean she has to stay in her crummy $1.7 million West Hollywood home!? I mean it’s only a 4 bedroom, 3 bath 2707 square foot luxury palace.

That’s horrible, I feel for ya Paris. It’s going to be tough for her to figure out what to do, tennis, swim in the pool, watch a movie in the home theatre.

Such a ruff life!

Highest paying Adsense keywords: Top 100

I know this seems like an odd article and I’m not posting this because I use adsense and hope to make a bunch of money. I mean it would be nice to be able to cover costs for running the site but it’s only a helper. I do the site for the sheer fun.

I randomly came across some information explaining the highest paying Adsense keywords and found it very interesting that mesothelioma claims where amount the highest. I didn’t even know what it was at the beginning. However, I soon realized why.

After looking up mesothelioma in wikipedia I learned that it is a form of cancer from exposure to asbestos. The reason why this pays so much is because lawyers want to claim lawsuits with people that have mesothelioma. Now you can understand why this list of the top Adsense keywords is jam packed with that term.
