Hate it or love it, there’s no denying the iPhone is hot amongst the A-list — even if they can’t seem to hold it the right way — and it doesn’t get more A-list than former President Bill Clinton, who told TUAW reader B. Ioffe that he was an iPhone user while signing his device at a recent rally. Bill said he got his from El Steve himself, which is interesting — wonder if he asked board member Al Gore first?

Peaceful robot / human talks looked to be on the verge of a meltdown in Iowa on Monday. Former president Bill Clinton was treated to barrage of output from a robot seeking for an apology regarding a 1992 comment Bill made concerning rapper Sister Souljah. The robot — or potentially a human impostor dressed to look like one — then threw color cards in the air, and was escorted away, but not without a parting shot from Clinton about picking a more environmentally-friendly way to protest. Rumors of the robot shouting “please tase me, humans” as a parting shot are unconfirmed. The video can be found at the read link.

Penelope Cruz attended the Spanish Institute Gold Medal Gala in New York. Also in attendance was former president Bill Clinton who was a seat over from Penelope. Unfortunately, Oscar De La Renta was in Bill’s way (That’s what we call a “cock-block,” kids.), so Slick Willy took some evasive action and switched seats to be closer to his target, according to Page Six:
After being presented with a medallion from Queen Sofia, Clinton told the audience, “I was trying to figure out exactly why I would receive this award tonight. It may be because, even though I’m not of Spanish descent, I’ve seen every one of Penelope Cruz’s movies - and I liked them all.”

Last year Oprah Winfrey earned $260 million for the year! Prisoner Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears didn’t even make the list.
