The Functional Cabinetry that you can see here is a gorgeous cabinet that can be used for many things and it is also a great storage place that everyone will love to have. The set is really one of a kind and it looks simply lovely.
The natural wood gives an inviting and elegant feel to your home and anywhere that you place the cabinetry in. Do not worry about it fitting in because it will and it will look much better too.
Buy this cabinet like furniture and enjoy lots of storage and a great place to put a table lamp or a vase of flowers.

Console collectors know good and well that Sega dished out a few less-than-easily-attainable versions of the Dreamcast back in the day, but only the hardest of hardcore fanatics are apt to have one this bad boy. Just 1,800 of these limited edition bundles were made, which feature an atypical Code: Veronica box, a translucent red version of the Japanese console, a matching controller, a copy of Biohazard Code: Veronica (Japan’s version of Resident Evil Code: Veronica), all the traditional connection cables and a huge dose of bragging rights. Number 280 out of the 1,800 units can be yours right now for the low, low asking price of $800, and believe us, we don’t foresee this one hanging around sans an owner for too much longer.

On a serious note, we’re telling ourselves that there’s just no way this happens in even a meaningful amount of Gamestop locations, but more than anything, the video waiting just after the break is for chuckles and chuckles alone. Apparently, one quick-thinking videographer-to-be captured a few stacks of Xbox 360s and PS3s in the store bathroom. Yes, the store bathroom. So the Gamestop-sourced console you’re playing on right now could have all sorts of restroom-related germs on it. Yikes.
[Thanks, gamestopped]

Quite honestly, there’s absolutely zero proof that Intel and Microsoft are yapping it up in regard to Larrabee, but considering just how logical it sounds, we couldn’t help but pass along the latest whispers surrounding the two. According to those fabled “industry insiders,” The Inquirer has it that Intel is currently on bended knee asking Microsoft to integrate Larrabee into the next-generation Xbox. If it were to land such a deal, developers would — in essence — be forced to develop for Larrabee given the need for console titles, which could then make things all the easier for Intel on the PC side. Like we said, this is all speculatory for now, but so long as the dots continue to connect, we’ll at least give this one a fighting chance at materializing.

As you’ve surely heard (and hopefully confirmed for yourself) by now, The Dark Knight is a runaway hit. So much so, in fact, that a number of manufacturers have figured it prudent to crank our hardware with the iconic Batman logo front and center. Next in line for admission on the bandwagon seems to be Microsoft, which apparently showed off a “limited edition” (read: likely one of a kind) Dark Knight Xbox 360 over in Taiwan. We know, you want the details — eventual release dates, a price, the works. Unfortunately for us all, we’re stuck with just that image above and hope for the future. Hey, at least you can let your imagination run wild.

Microsoft’s 20GB Xbox 360 Pro already stooped to $299, but one particular mole — the same one who correctly called the 60GB edition of the console — is suggesting that further slashing is in store. To be specific, we’re talking about a $199 Arcade (no HDD), $299 Pro (60GB HDD) and a $399 Elite (120GB HDD), all of which should be available at those prices sometime next month. Furthermore, it’s likely that Microsoft will toss out a few bundles in order to reel in the holiday shoppers, though details are sparse about which ones we’ll be seeing. Our take? Hold off just a bit — we get the feeling this here is more than hot air.

No need to phone in the shock police — you had to know this was coming. After all, what kind of stockholder-pleasing company would Nintendo be if it wasn’t already thinking about how to top the Wii? According to information in a recent Forbes piece surveying the field of gaming consoles, Nintendo is “already working on the Wii’s successor.” President Satoru Iwata shared that the Big N was “always preparing for the next hardware,” though it would be unwise to expect said hardware anytime soon. With Wii consoles still hard (or at least not “easy“) to come by in some locales, we’d say Nintendo is in no hurry to move beyond its current cash cow. Still, even Iwata admits that it “will be difficult” to exceed expectations now that the Wii has proven so successful. Not really, though — throw in high-def support and you’ve got an entirely more lovable machine.

Call it a remarkably strong hunch, but we’ve got a feeling that the detail-less console that just popped up in the FCC’s database is the 80GB “Core” PlayStation 3 we heard about at E3. The FCC filing is exceptionally devoid of juicy nuggets, with just a pair of ID labels to swoon over. We can see that the new model will be dubbed CECHL01, but outside of that, it’s a total crapshoot as to what’s going on here. Okay, maybe not, but it’s fun to pretend.

Looking to put those dust-collecting tools of yours to use here on Independence Day? Then we’ve excellent news, you introvert you. Rather than grilling up some red meat (or chicken, or tofu, whatever) and handling highly volatile explosives, we have no doubt that modder “darkeru” is spending his day playing with his brand new toy: a Nintendo Entertainment System… crammed within an NES cartridge. We’ll be honest, this one does feel a little incestuous for some odd reason, but we greatly appreciate the ingenuity. Hit up the read link for more pics.

According to a report in the Economic Times, Sony will be introducing a slimmer (well, “slimer” if you want the direct quote), sleeker, and “more suave” version of the PS2 in Indian and European markets come Fall. If you believe what you read, the new system will include a built-in power supply, will make its debut by Diwali (which falls on October 28th), and will keep the current sticker price of Rs 6,990 (or about $162). The article also claims that Sony will bring its PlayStation Network to India by the end of the year, which should make a lot of competition hungry gamers very happy. Sony reps say that the move is driven by the belief that, “Console gaming is in its nascent stage in India,” adding, “We have no plans to phase out PS2 anytime soon.” The PS2: you just can’t kill it!

Here in the US, we’ve heard some pretty terrifying experiences about selling modchips, but it seems as if higher-ups in the UK are being a bit more reasonable about the whole thing. Reportedly, UK-based MrModchips was cleared of all 26 counts against him for his role in importing and selling console modchips, as the Court of Appeal Criminal Division (Judge Justice Jacobs, in particular) ruled that said chips do not circumvent copyright protection. Better still, the defendant was “awarded full costs as a result of his successful appeal,” and we can only assume he was smiling all the way out of the crowded courtroom. Chalk one up for the little guy.

Not like Team Xtender hasn’t been offering something similar to this for well over a year now, but hey, nothing wrong with a bit of delayed competition. XCM has just made clear that it will soon be selling the 1080p Mega-Cool VGA box, which takes any component input and shoots it back out via VGA. The box supports PC resolutions up to UXGA (1,600 x 1,200 at 75Hz) or HDTV (up to 1,920 x 1,080). Plug-and-play, NTSC / PAL support and USB power are all included — you just provide the ins and outs. Mum’s the current word on pricing / availability, but we’re hearing that e-tailer Total Console will be offering it soon.

DIY game consoles are hardly the rare occurrence they once were, but this so-called Super Genintari project (previously known as Leviticus) is definitely a step above most, and more than enough to make us a little green with envy. As you may be able to discern from the project’s name, this behemoth of a console brings the Atari 2600, NES, SNES and Genesis together at long last, with each system available at the push of a clickety-clackety button and ample controller ports provided for each. What’s more, while there’s quite the mess coming out of the front of the console with all the controllers attached, the rig does at least neatly connect to a TV with a single AV cable. Be sure to head on over past the break to check out a video of it action, and hit up the link below for the fully story and plenty of pictures.

Comments made earlier this week from Acer senior VP James Wong had the intarwebz ablaze with hunches that the firm could be entering the console market in one way or another. Now, however, a UK spokesperson has clarified that there “was a major misunderstanding,” and outrightly asserted that the outfit was “not going to release any game console.” Instead, the idea is to “develop a high-end PC targeted at the serious gamer.” So yeah, you can take that Xbox 360 off of eBay — looks like you’ll be needing it for awhile longer.

Don’t start hawking your 360 and PS3 just yet, but it sounds like PC industry upstart Acer is considering a bid for the console market, or at least some gamer market share, with a game machine based on “open standards.” Of course, this could just mean a computer built to PC Gaming Alliance specs — Acer is on the PCGA’s board — but Acer’s James T. Wong did make comparisons to Nintendo and Microsoft’s offerings, calling them closed and proprietary systems. With a history of console prices subsidized by game sales, it’s hard to imagine an “open” platform being able to compete in that space — and even harder to imagine a company like Acer getting that kind of traction with the consumer — but even if it is just a PCGA spec machine, we don’t think it could come soon enough for the struggling PC gaming market.

Without question we’ve seen GameCube mods more extravagant than this, but until something even more adorable comes to light, we’re definitely giving the “Most Heartwarming” badge to this here creation. The Wall-E GameCube mod was inspired by the character in Disney’s upcoming film (titled Wall-E, of all things), and hours upon hours of TLC were clearly poured into this concoction. We know you’re eager for more angles of those eyes, so hit up the read link to get what you’re after.

Hmmph. Would you look at that? Nary a fortnight after EA proclaimed that Sony’s PlayStation 3 would best the Xbox 360 in sales during 2008, said prophecy is already starting to come true. Granted, we’re only talking one month so far, but according to new US sales data from NPD Group, Microsoft’s console actually slipped to third in the numbers race. Unsurprisingly, Nintendo’s darling took home the gold (again) with 274,000 units sold in January, while the PS3 slipped in just 5,000 units below with 269,000. As for Redmond, it only moved 230,000 units last month, but spokesman David Dennis boldly stated that the firm believes its third-place finish to be “an anomaly.” Considering that the Grim Reaper is well on its way to claiming the life of the 360s HD DVD add-on while Sony relishes the decision to cram BD drives within the PS3, we’re not so sure these figures won’t become a trend.

According to T3 magazine and a “particularly well-informed insider,” the PS3 is due not just for hard drive updates, but a total design revamp down to a slimmer and smaller package sometime in the Fall. If you believe what you read, the refreshed console will sport all the same specs, but will receive a fresh coat of paint, a trip through the shrinking machine, and probably a lightened load. Of course, this is all just wild speculation coupled with salacious, magazine-selling 3D renders of the phantom device, as Sony denies the existence of an update and we don’t really know who this source is. On the other hand, the company pulls this kind of ditzy “who me?” stuff whenever it’s got a new product up its sleeve — though we’re not feeling the timing on this shocker.

The nerve of the Chinese-via-Brazil knock-off industry — thieving the names of consoles and not even attempting to also steal the look, operation, logos, or games. Enter the Wi Vision, a “game console” meant to evoke thoughts of Nintendo’s money-maker by name, though it evokes something decidedly crappier in appearance… like a melting Genesis standing on its side. What about specs, you ask? How does a 240 x 240 resolution, 64 color capacity, NES compatibility, and included 106-game cartridge sound to you? Pretty good right? Oh, don’t forget about the wireless controllers and complete lack of fun. Available now (in Brazil) for 269 BR (or around $150).
