Apple iPhone could shed some light on third-party application issues. (Images)
If I was a millionaire…
I would buy a team of techs to resolve all the issues around the iPhone.
iPhone critics have only focused on a few major issues surrounding Apple’s new phone, that we now know to be released on June 29. Those major issues, in no particular order, are
- No removable battery (remember the first generation ipod batteries!)
- No 3G Radio
- Support for third party applications
However, last week at the D: All Things digital conference, Steven Jobs said that Apple was looking for ways to make it possible for developers to create software for the iPhone. Small applications that are developed and written for Mac should easily be able to convert and run on the iPhone.
I guess we will have to wait and see.
Other known issues with the iPhone:
- No over the air iTunes Store downloads or WiFi syncing to your host
- No expandable memory
- No Microsoft Exchange or Office Support

Palm sells 25% stake to U2’s Bono and retired Apple execs. (images)
If I was a millionaire…
I would buy out Bono’s new share in Palm; just to make sure that we won’t have to see a “limited edition” version of the newest Palm pilot.
The private equity firm where Bono is a founding partner is putting-out $325 million for the chance to help out Palm to restructure. Not only that but Jon Rubinstein, the man behind Apple’s ipod, is being named executive chairman for Palm to head product development.
Also Apple’s former CFO, Fred Anderson, joins Palm’s board of directors.
Here is the official press release from Palm.

iPhone will be officially released on June 29. (Images)
If I was a millionaire…
I would buy one of Apple’s new iPhones which is now comfirmed to be released on June 29. According to engadget a commercial just aired on 60 minutes.
You can purchase the iPhone for a mere $600, that is of course that you are a new customer willing to sign on for that 2 friggin year term that all the phone companies get ya with now.
Apple has now also released the iPhone ads on their website.

Google Maps new street view reviels more than just streets! (Images)
If I were a millionaire…
I would buy the girl seen in this Google Maps Streets View page a belt, so that her ass doesn’t have to hang out and show her thong anymore (although she does have a nice ass).
Does anyone else here think that this new Streets View is just a little creepy? I bet we are 5 years or less from it all being live video…. now you scared?
Please share any interested things you find on Streets View and comment with a link.
You can view more street view pictures here.

Intels Quad-Core for Laptops (Images)
If I was a millionaire…
I would buy one of the new Intel quad-core laptops. They will not be released until sometime in 2008 and will be geared toward business and gaming applications. The average consumer would not have the need for this power as most applications do not use multi-threaded technology right now. Not even most gaming software.

If I was a millionaire…
I would buy one of the new Microsoft Surface’s. Microsoft unveiled the new 30″ surface computer yesterday and it’s created quite a bit of buzz.
Consumers will have to wait a few years before they can get their hands on this technology themselves but if I was a millionaire I’m sure I’d have no trouble getting my hands on one of these (literally).
