Although unveiled back at DEMO last month, we thought AWIND’s MobiShow was worthy of the double-back. The compact, WiFi presentation device allows for video and PowerPoint demonstrations to be presented in a 1,024 x 768 pixel resolution on any VGA-connected display without the need for a PC — everything is controlled from the Windows Mobile or iPhone handset applications. Check the video after the break, the acting alone should make it worth your while.

Good news, PSP fans — the PlayStation Store is closer than ever to hitting your handheld, and we’ve got the video to prove it. Sony has hosted up a clip to give us all a better idea of what firmware 5.0 has in store for the PSP, and while there aren’t any real surprises, it’s always good to get a sneak peek. We’re told that users will soon be able to create an account and access the PlayStation Network right on the PlayStation Portable, and the PS Store access is the same as on the PS3. Enough chatter — give the video a look in the read link.

We knew XM Radio’s XMp3 handheld was on sale and shipping, but if you’ve been holding back and patiently waiting for some live video action of the UI before biting, have a gander at this. One xzitony managed to acquire the new Pioneer-built device and take it for a spin, but rather than just keeping it all to himself, he decided to host up a six minute clip walking us through the user interface. There are just no words to express our gratitude, but you can leave your thanks on his YouTube page after peeping the vid just past the break.
[Thanks, Anthony]

If you’ve been enjoying those still pictures of Nokia’s 5800 XpressMusic touchscreen phone, but feel you’re lacking an in-depth experience, we think we can help. A slew of demo and instruction videos have just been slapped up on the Ovi Share site, allowing you to get a better idea of just how the device works, and what it looks like when it’s doing it. Luckily for you, we’ve taken the trouble of including all of the videos after the break for your viewing pleasure, saving you the painful and laborious experience of hitting a read link. Enjoy.

If you’ve been hoping to get your hands around the wheel of one of those eco-friendly plug-in Priuses (Priuii?), maybe it’s time to bite the bullet and finally move to the UK… just like you’ve been telling all your friends you’re going to do one of these days. According to a report, Toyota is gearing up for the first trials of the ultra-low-MPG car starting tomorrow at an event in London’s Hyde Park. An invite mailed to select members of the media (British media, we assume) states: “the purpose of our UK trial is to evaluate not only vehicle performance, but also the electrical infrastructure required, as well as driver behaviour and expectations. The results will play a key role in preparing for the future commercialisation of Plug-in Hybrid technology.” So if you’ve ever wanted to watch one of these planet-huggers race silently around a British landmark, here’s your chance.

It looks like the Pandora project is really coming together nicely. EvilDragon has just posted this video on the GP32x boards of a development model up and running. It’s pretty exciting stuff if you’re a homebrew fan (and we know you are), featuring demos of the device smoothly running emulators like PicoDrive, PSNES, booting up a build of Linux, and even getting its Quake 2 on (at high frame rates and looking crystal clear). It’s still going to be awhile before we’ve actually got our grubby mitts on one of these, but this is certainly doing a good job of whetting our appetites. Watch the video after the break and see for yourself.
[Thanks, Chris]

The creative cats and kittens at Obscura Digital have put together a stunning piece of performance art / data manipulation demo which combines their proprietary multi-touch software with Musion’s Eyeliner 3D holographic projection system. Like that BMW installation we saw recently, this is one of those odd combinations of technology and art which is best seen in action rather than described — so check out the video after the break and see the work in all its mind-bending glory.

We know you’re not really down with digesting any more catchphrases, but the technology formerly known as Ultra Low Power Bluetooth / Wibree is now being dubbed Bluetooth low energy. Now that we’re clear on nomenclature, you may be thrilled to know that CSR showcased its recently unveiled BlueCore7 dual mode (Bluetooth low energy and Bluetooth v2.1) chip at a Bluetooth SIG Medical Working Group meeting. According to onlookers, the handset was able to transfer data to another nearby mobile using just 3 frequencies rather than 32, resulting in an unquantifiable decrease in power consumption. Sounds like a winner on the surface, but we have this weird that mass adoption of this tech is like, years away.

By now you’ve probably heard about .Mac’s replacement, MobileMe. It’s like Yahoo! Mail, Google Docs, and every other Ajaxy web app you’ve ever used… just way more Apple-ish. If you’re feeling confused by all the synchronized over-the-air options it presents, your good friend John (aka Classy Apple Dude) is here to explain things in a simple, easy-to-understand tour. Just watching this makes us feel safe, secure… and frankly, a little sleepy.

After spying those “in the wild” shots of Nokia’s E71 and N66, we knew something had to be up — and that does appear to be the case. A forum member over at Mobile-Review has stumbled upon user demos for both of the forthcoming devices, featuring in-depth Flash walkthroughs on how to master all the basic features of either phone. It seems likely that an announcement is due any day now (though we’re thinking it won’t be coming on Monday) — but at least you can enjoy a bunch of new angles and animations while you wait.

According to Reuters, chipmaker ARM has plans to show off an Android-based “Google Phone” prototype at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The news agency is citing a “source” for this information, and both Google and ARM declined to comment, as if reading from some sort of industry script, though we’re seeing and hearing a lot of buzz from MWC on new tech, so this would come as no surprise. Come on guys, we don’t mind if the OS is still a little buggy… show us some hardware.

Dell fans, we’ve got some juicy meat for you to sink your teeth into. During Michael Dell’s keynote address at Oracle OpenWorld today, the company unleashed (or at least demoed) its forthcoming all-in-one PC, creatively named the XPS One. Of course, we’ve been hearing rumblings about the One for some time now, but Dell also whipped out its sparkly new Latitude XT tablet, which should please all the Gatesian types out there who think TPCs are the future. But wait — there’s more! The new Latitude isn’t just some plain-jane scratchpad. Besides being the thinnest in its 12.1-inch, convertible category, and having a screen which is 25-percent brighter than the competition… it’s multi-touch. At the keynote, the Dell folks demonstrated a multiple-finger paint program, which lets you draw five simultaneous lines, and also showcased a Surface-like photo viewer which allows you to scramble, resize, and generally get physical with your fond memories. Check the pictures of the tablet in action after the break and feel its magical vibes.
