Hey there, budget-conscious gamers: the Vii didn’t quite pan out the way we’d all hoped, but we just want you to know you still don’t have to spend $500 or wait for a PS3 Slim to hit the shelves to have a gaming experience worthy of 2008. Just pick Sonilex — it’s a fraction of the size of the PS3, and at around 32 bucks even the most stingy gamer can splurge for it. Word is 41 “NES games” have been released for Sonilex this year alone (probably piled into that odd-looking cart on the left there), including, incredibly but really, the unauthorized NES port of “Tekken.” After all, the game cart says “2008″ on it so you know you’re getting the absolute cutting edge of NES games — like, ones that were never even released until just now, okay? No word on Blu-ray though. That’s a deal-breaker if you ask us.

We’ve always wondered when we’d see a KIRF that was actually more desirable than the original, and while this ripped T700 isn’t quite as succulent at SE’s own T700, it’s closer than most… on the outside. This touchscreen-based cellphone (which is obviously masquerading as a camera) supposedly sports a Carl Zeiss lens, a 5x optical zoom (seriously?), 8-megapixel sensor, a microSD slot and easily one of the nastiest user interfaces we’ve ever had the displeasure of laying eyes on. Hit the read link if you’re into that type of sick stuff , and jump on past the break for a front side shot.

digg_url = ‘http://digg.com/gadgets/Who_s_copying_who_Miao_copies_iPod_nano_4G_a_year_in_advance’; Why, this is downright preposterous! How dare the copyright-ignoring, astonishingly uncreative minds of those at Miao copy Apple’s latest iPod nano design a full year in advance? They should be implausibly embarrassed by churning out a so-called Cottage MP3 player in 2007, all while the brains at Cupertino sat and pondered how to make its tiny little PMP that much better. This, people, is an outrage. An outrage!

Well whaddya know? The iTreo 800p is finally selling on eBay! We thought the day would never come that we could actually get our hands on this totally sweet — and absolutely real — phone. Man were we wrong. Sure, the listing says you’re selling off a Treo 800W, but given the large amount of completely reassuring blue text, scrolling text, and large font text, we’ll happily accept that we will, in fact, receive the device pictured above via UPS Next Day Air. So, yes. Yes. We will “buy it now” for $349.99, safe in the knowledge that by this time tomorrow, we’ll be the only guy on our block busting out the iTreo 800p at parties, pool halls, and any place else where all the happenin’ stuff happens. Thanks “naseemajid” — you’re A+++++ in our book.
[Thanks, Spencer]

We can’t (with a clean conscience) carelessly fling Newsmy’s M521+ into the KIRF pile — though we’d sure love to. It’s hard impossible to miss the design cues ripped directly from SanDisk’s Sansa Fuze, though the unit does have just enough uniqueness to keep it from being a bona fide clone. Reportedly, the device packs an FM tuner, FM transmitter, support for MP3 / WMA / APE / FLAC / AVI formats, a photo / text viewer and an interface that we wouldn’t let our worst enemies use. Oh wait, is that the iTunes logo? Is it too late to reconsider that whole KIRF eligibility thing.

The Kira 100 was a decent Eee PC knockoff, but at just north of $475, there was literally no purpose in picking it over the genuine product. The Jointech JL7100, however, really makes ASUS’ darling look mighty unnecessary. Okay, so maybe the fact that this thing relies on WinCE 5.0 rather than, you know, a bona fide laptop operating system is a bit disappointing, but there are sacrifices to be expected here. As for other specifications, you’ll supposedly find a 7-inch 800 x 480 resolution display, Samsung chipset, 64MB (yes, megabytes) of internal storage, 64MB (yes, megabytes) of RAM, a VGA output and three USB ports. We can hear your stifled laughter from here, but your tune may change upon hearing the $99 (USD?) price tag. Told you so.
[Thanks, Sean]

Not that we’d view the actual Touch Diamond as IF or anything, but the Diamond J6 is more along the lines of I3. In all seriousness, this thing isn’t too far from being spot-on identical (maybe it’s an HTC thing?), with a 2.8-inch display, built-in camera, multimedia player, Bluetooth and a microSD card slot. And for $160, we’re almost inclined to fall in love here… almost.

According to the reader who sent this our way, this candy dispenser looks “exactly” like a Wiimote, except it fires candy out of the spot where the IR transmitter should be. Apparently the instructions suggest that you “Do not aim at face,” so… it’s kind of like the real thing.

We’ll admit, we had our suspicions that Teclast’s capacitive multitouch-packing T50 would arrive with an eerily similar user interface to some other device out there, and a ten minute video review recently tossed up by MP4Nation thoroughly confirms those fears. In all seriousness, this thing may actually not be a half bad unit, but whether or not you’re really interested in such an impostor, it’s worth checking the video after the jump for laughs alone.
[Thanks, Edwin]

Oh, there are plenty of bad Chinese iPhone knockoffs out there, but the HiPhone may be the reigning champion these days — so it kind of seemed like a matter of time before Apple loosed the hounds on distributors of the device. We don’t have confirmation or proper human translation of the above legal notice, but it would appear Apple’s European counsel Bird & Bird has delivered at least one notice to an unnamed distributor threatening €25,000 in damages (and €15,000 in legal fees) for HiPhone sales. Hardly the case of the century, but we’ll let you know if we hear anything.

For Newman, it wasn’t enough to knock off an iPod nano from years past. Oh no, it had to replace Apple’s iconic click-wheel with a prominent “N” on its MOMO-X2, just so it’s absolutely clear what PMP is being aped. In all seriousness, we reckon that letter has more to do with the company’s name than anything else, but it’s fun to pretend every now and then. On to specs, you’ll find a 1.5-inch display (176 x 132 resolution), a still-very-familiar opaque white / chrome motif, support for MP3 / WMA files, Microsoft’s PlayFX capabilities, a FM tuner, text / photo viewer, USB 2.0 connectivity and 2GB of internal storage space. On paper, we’d say that’s not too shabby for 399CNY ($57), but the street cred you’d lose from toting this around would be far, far more costly.

Shamelessly attempting to rip off a plethora of yesteryear’s gaming handhelds all at once isn’t a new trick or anything, but you’d expect the creators of the Cool Boy to at least conjure up a name with some inkling of originality, right? Nevertheless, the portable, um, system features a 2.4-inch color display, gets juiced from a trio of AAA cells and even includes a video out port for taking the sweet handheld action to the 13-inch CRT. Of course, the thing only works with Cool Boy Mega Pack game cartridges, which means that even the homebrew crowd is likely out of luck here. But hey, you can get 120 sure-to-be-riveting titles in a single cart for just $7.99. Any takers? Anyone? Okay.

As the bar for really, truly ripping another product off gets ratcheted up, leave it to Awang to make sure it keeps pace. The A9000 handset makes no attempt to veil itself from being seen as the impostor that it truly is, featuring the same QWERTY keypad, general design and tilt-ability as the long-established AT&T Tilt. Judging by the looks of things, those not ashamed with carrying around a Class-A wannabe will find Windows Mobile (”or similar”) under the hood, a T-Flash expansion slot, built-in camera and a lovely stylus for good measure. We’ve seen creativity get slapped in the face before, but this is a bona fide low blow.

It’s fairly commonplace for Chinese manufacturers to crank out clones of other popular wares, but apparently, things aren’t brushed off as easily when the cloning gets done by a mega-corp like Toshiba. Granted, quite a bit is lost in translation here, but the long and short of it is that NTT DoCoMo and Fujitsu are suing Tosh for creating and selling its 821T — which, as you can see above, looks an awful lot like Fujitsu’s RakuRaku handset. Reportedly, the plaintiffs have demanded that Softbank Mobile withdraw the 821T from the market, but it seems there’s quite a bit more back-and-forth left to go down before the dust settles on this one.

It’s just what you’ve been waiting for — a Nokia N95 running Windows Mobile. It looks like the rumors were true after all! What’s that? This is not a real phone? It’s just an FM radio with a sticker on the screen? Oh bother. Yes folks, thanks to eagle-eyed tipster Eric, you’re looking at the next evolution in gadgetry — the Asaki N95 FM radio. We’re not sure what the going price for this is, but we’d imagine slightly less than $779, though the real N95 doesn’t come with those totally pimped-out headphones, does it?

We’ve seen a couple fake Game Boy micros in the past, but none of them have been as faithful reproductions as this one here. Sadly, we’ve got little to go on as far as games or other functions in this “Game Joy micro,” but it looks like at least Tetris is a shoo-in, which is really all that matters. Check after the break for a few other gems of fakery.

That’s right folks, it’s the long awaited Dry British Guy (of Polystation 3 and POP Station fame) review of the Sport Vii (aka the Vii 2) — the video game console of your nightmares. When a product is as anticipated as this, you expect a little disappointment here or there, and the KenSingTon Vii 2 doesn’t fail to deliver… er, on failing that is. Watch in horror as you’re taken through the bizarre knock-off world that is the Sport Vii software suite, including a wide variety of games involving horribly mutated-looking rabbits. Watch the video after the break and get all the facts — our suggestion is that you hang on till the very end for an exciting twist.

Sure, it looks like the Eee, it sports the same CPU as the Eee, heck, it even appears to use the Eee’s OS — but it’s actually the CM900! What does that mean? Well for starters, you’ll pay more money for less computer ($349.99 for a 2GB system, the same price for a 4GB ASUS)… but of course you’ll have that CybertronPC name to fall back on. Honestly, we’d say this was a rebrand if it weren’t for the minor differences in specs, and who knows — maybe it is. If not, however, this is the knock-offingest knock-off we’ve seen in a good long while. Far be it from us to condemn the CybertronPC gang for trying to get in while the gettin’s good, but maybe next time these guys could at least give us a fair shake on the storage / price breakdown?

The nerve of the Chinese-via-Brazil knock-off industry — thieving the names of consoles and not even attempting to also steal the look, operation, logos, or games. Enter the Wi Vision, a “game console” meant to evoke thoughts of Nintendo’s money-maker by name, though it evokes something decidedly crappier in appearance… like a melting Genesis standing on its side. What about specs, you ask? How does a 240 x 240 resolution, 64 color capacity, NES compatibility, and included 106-game cartridge sound to you? Pretty good right? Oh, don’t forget about the wireless controllers and complete lack of fun. Available now (in Brazil) for 269 BR (or around $150).
