You guys know I love New Kids on the Block and that I am so excited about The Block coming out today. Well after seeing NKOTB performing Step by Step on The View I am left speechless. Wow what do you say to that?

VH1 is bringing the ’90s back with a 90-minute Behind The Music special on ’90s boy band New Kids on The Block.

NKOTB are also gearing up for an exclusive 90-minute live event, “New Kids on the Block: A Behind The Music Special Event” premiering on VH1, September 28 at 8PM (ET/PT). In a first-of-its-kind production, the special will celebrate the history of the New Kids On The Block while also documenting what inspired their 2008 reunion in their own words. Interspersed throughout the special will be live reports from Boston, counting down until VH1 airs a live broadcast of the first three songs from the world renowned group’s sold out concert at the TD Banknorth Garden in their hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.

I miss VH1’s Behind The Music, I so wish they would bring it back!

New Kids on the Block teamed up with Ne-Yo for their next single, Single! So far we have heard two songs of NKOTB’s next album The Block that is coming out on September 2nd, and I am so excited they decided to reunite because I am loving what I am hearing!
BTW Single will be available on iTunes on August 12th!

"Donnie Wahlberg had this idea for a few months, since New Kids had the idea of getting back together really," says producer Nadir "RedOne" Khawat, who worked on the song. "Donnie's been looking for that one track for all of them and I think we found it."

Last week, just days after New Edition took home the Golden Note Award at the 21st annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul awards in Beverly Hills, the group (minus Bobby Brown) went into an L.A. studio to record with the New Kids. The ensemble track, titled "Full Service," will appear on NKOTB's not-yet-titled upcoming album.

The song was written by Wahlberg, Khawat, and New York disco diva Lady GaGa. "It sounds very universal and melodic and has both sides in it: The R&B, which is New Edition and the pop side for New Kids," says Khawat. "It's very uplifting. Right away you start feeling good and every part feels natural to each one of the guys."

While I love seeing New Kids on the Block get their all greatest hits into a 5 minute show, I hope that when it comes time for their tour the show is a little longer.

OK, I know this embarrassing to admit but I loved seeing the New Kids on the Block on the Today show on Friday! They still have most of it, there are some moves they need to retire but I still can’t wait to see their reunion tour!!!

As happy as I am that New Kids on the Block, I will not believe it until I see it. I have watched every episode of The Surreal Life and we all know what Jordan Knight was like on both the seasons he was on, so who knows if he will be hanging tough with NKOTB by May 16th?
