We’ll be honest — KickStart just had a nicer ring to it, but we suppose Pearl Flip will do. RIM’s long-awaited (and not-at-all veiled) BlackBerry flip phone has finally arrived, weighing just 3.6-ounces and boasting a 320 x 240 internal display, Bluetooth 2.0, built-in multimedia player, 802.11b/g WiFi and a SureType keypad. The battery promises four hours of talk time / over a fortnight of standby life, and while pricing and exact release details are still hush-hush, Americans can count on seeing it “this fall” exclusively on T-Mobile. In related news, RIM also announced support for AIM / ICQ on all BlackBerry smartphones, though it’s only available for USers at the moment. Feast your eyes on the links below for more, more, more.

April 14th — just like we expected, that’s the date T-Mobile subscribers will gain access to the WiFi totin’ BlackBerry Pearl 8120. Unlike AT&T’s offering, that’s WiFi for voice and data thanks to T-Mobile’s HotSpot @Home service. EDGE data, 2 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, 3.5-mm headphone jack, SureType keyboard, and microSD / SDHC expansion for your multimedia round out the specs quite nicely. Now all we need is the price, right T-Mob?

At this point, the 8120, RIM’s next-generation Pearl for GSM networks is little more than a twinkle in the FCC’s eye — but T-Mobile’s ’bout to turn this party out. The Reader’s Digest version goes something like this: Hotspot @Home support, February 18. Where’s the rest of the story? Why, over on Engadget Mobile, of course!

It’s not like you didn’t know this day was coming, but Sprint users eagerly awaiting the actual release of Motorola’s Q9c / i335 or the BlackBerry Pearl 8130 can quit sitting on their hands. That right folks, as of now, all three of the aforementioned handsets are available on Sprint, and while we’re sure you’re up to speed on all the specs, here’s the down low on prices. After a two-year agreement and mail-in rebate, the i335 will run you $49.99, while the Q9c demands $149.99 and the Pearl 8130 rings up at $199.99. Take your pick — the trio is on sale now online and in Sprint stores everywhere.

Listen — we know you want to do your part for the environment, but you don’t have to wear jean shorts while doing it. By all means, take a gander at the Valeswood Pearl hydrogen-fueled, power-assisted bicycle, which motors up to 15 MPH and takes you about 80 miles before you need to juice the batteries. When you’re finished with all the hard labor of pedaling, the bike folds up neatly and can be tucked away in the trunk of your 9 MPG SUV. If you’re the eco-centric cat or kitten that we think you are, you’re not going to be too miffed about that $4000 price tag, and we’re sure the only kind of short you’ll be rocking will be of the organic hemp variety. We wish we could say the same for the chap in the photo.

They’re still miles away from T-Mobile’s ridiculously cheap $10 for unlimited BlackBerry email, but Verizon’s trying to reach out to a more personal, consumer-based audience as it preps to launch its own Pearl with a new data pricing structure of its own. Unlimited web and email will run you $29.99 when purchased with a voice plan, $34.99 without, offering support for up to ten POP3 and IMAP accounts. Again, T-Mobile’s got these cats beat hands-down if saving dinero is the priority — but then again, Verizon takes the cake for total coverage area and, of course, 3G speed. Pick your poison.

We’ve had plenty of face time with this little guy already, but Verizon Wireless has finally fessed up to a precise release date and price point for its EV-DO BlackBerry Pearl 8130. The phone is available for pre-order at $200 with a 2 year contract and an automatic $100 online discount, and will ship out on November 8th. Let’s see if that’s good enough to beat Sprint’s version to market.

Following a similar announcement from Verizon a couple weeks back, Sprint has announced that it’ll also be carrying RIM’s lastest and greatest CDMA Pearl, the 8130. High on the touted feature list is the integrated GPS, which Sprint is teaming with its Sprint Navigation service to provide real-time routing and traffic alerts — but we certainly can’t forget the 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo Bluetooth support, 2 megapixel camera, and externally accessible microSDHC slot, all of which make the device a worthy successor for anyone that got a kick out of the original GSM Pearl. Look for it in stores next month, with pricing to be announced closer to launch.

Verizon isn’t kidding around this fall, with four new fashionable phones, a couple of which might divert a few iPhone dollars from archrival AT&T. It’s those exact four that Engadget Mobile got the scoop on last weekend, the Juke, Pearl, Venus and Voyager. A few of the details have changed, but the basic gist is the same. The Samsung Juke is the first “flick” phone to hit the States, and arrives with 2GB of built-in storage, A2DP (which shows up in all these phones) and a VGA camera, and comes in blue, red or teal. Verizon’s BlackBerry Pearl is the first Pearl to get EV-DO and a 3.5mm minijack, and also adds Verizon’s VZ Navigator service, which is standard across these phones. The Venus slider sports an interesting dual screen setup, with the bottom providing contextual touch controls and the top one acting like all normal-like. Venus, with black or pink color options, is the real fashionphone of the group, and rocks a boring 2 megapixel sensor, but there’s a microSD slot for up to 8GB of expansion. Finally, the Voyager (pictured) does it all, with a full screen touchscreen on the outside, and a second screen on the clamshell interior, facing a gargantuan QWERTY keyboard. V CAST Mobile TV makes an appearance, as does a microSD slot and 2 megapixel camera. All of these phones are supposed to be out by Thanksgiving, but no word on price or exact dates — though the Juke and Pearl are hitting first, to be followed by the Venus and then the Voyager.

While it hardly comes as much of a surprise after leaks from both Sprint and Verizon, RIM has finally made its long-awaited CDMA-enabled Pearl 8130 (a.k.a. “Pearl 2“) official, with it likely headed to the aforementioned carries sometime between now and Thanksgiving. As we had heard before, this one comes with built-in GPS (which Boy Genius speculates will be disabled on Verizon’s offering), along with A2DP/AVRCP Bluetooth, a 2 megapixel camera (with video recording capability), and a standard 3.5mm audio jack. According to RIM, you can also expect an overhauled interface, complete with an updated browser and some improved multimedia features, including the ability to create and edit playlists. Still no word on a price, but we’d expect Sprint and Verizon to be doling out that info before too long.
